A beer that has a dominant malty taste. This beer’s origins in a monk’s recipe are reflected in its heartiness. The Pope of Beers, Conrad Seidl, describes it as: “Almost black with a very slight red tone, a sensational, festive foam and truly extraordinary fragrance that at first summons up visions of greaves lard. The first taste is of mild fullness with an accompanying coffee tone, which becomes more dominant with the aftertaste. There is very little of the sweetness that is frequently to be tasted with doppelbock beer.” The Ayinger Celebrator has been ranked among the best beers of the world by the Chicago Testing Institute several times and has won numerous medals.

Tank 7 – Farmhouse Ale – Saison

A traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in their #7 fermenter. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a big surge of fruity aromatics and grapefruit-hoppy notes, the flavor of this complex, straw-colored ale tapers off to a peppery, dry finish.

Stille Nacht (2010) – Belgian Strong Ale
12.0% ABV – De Dolle – Esen, Vlaanderen
 

Stille Nacht (Silent Night) is a prestige beer from De Dolle Brouwers, brewed for Christmas. It has a very potent beer (12% alc/vol). It has been boiling for many hours, brewed with pale malt with white candy sugar in the kettle. The Nugget hops gives an extra bitterness to balance the extreme sweetness due to the density. The taste triangle is completed with some acidity of the fermentation. It is a very interesting beer to age. We have samples of every bottling we have done so far and aging hasn’t decreased the quality of this beer. Keep some samples at 10°C and mark the year on the cap with an alcohol marker. Cheers!!

Oude Gueuze Cuvée (2015) – Lambic – Gueuze

120 Minute IPA (2019) – IPA – Imperial / Double
18.0% ABV – Dogfish Head Craft Brewery – Milton, DE
 

The Holy Grail for hopheads! Clocking in at 15-20% ABV, 120 Minute IPA is continuously hopped with a copius amount of high-alpha American hops throughout the boil and whirlpool, and then dry-hopped with another pallet of hops. Unfiltered and abundently hoppy.

Duchesse de Bourgogne – Sour – Flanders Red Ale
6.2% ABV – – Vichte, Vlaanderen
 

Duchesse de Bourgogne from Brouwerij Verhaeghe is the traditional Flemish red ale. This refreshing ale is matured in oak casks; smooth with a rich texture and interplay of passion fruit, and chocolate, and a long, dry and acidic finish. After the first and secondary fermentation, the beer goes for maturation into the oak barrels for 18 months. The final product is a blend of younger 8 months old beer with 18 months old beer. The average age of the Duchesse de Bourgogne before being bottled is 12 months.

Saison Dupont – Saison
6.5% ABV – Dupont – Tourpes, Wallonie
 

Saison Dupont is a world classic beer and the yardstick for one of Belgium’s most important beer styles. It is the most admired AND imitated Saison in the world. A strong, vital yeast is key to full attenuation and thus to the style. Saison Dupont is straw colored with a dense creamy head. The nose is alive, like fresh raised bread, estery with citrus and spice notes. Full-bodied and malty, it sparkles on the palate and finishes with a zesty hop and citrus attack. Incredibly compatible with food!

Oude Geuze (Vieille) – Lambic – Gueuze
6.0% ABV – Oud Beersel – Beersel, Vlaanderen
 

Oud Beersel Oude Geuze is one of nature’s miracles. Oude Geuze is a blend of lambic from different years. One year old lambic is still readily fermentable. Two year old and three year old lambic main contribution is to the taste. Blending the lambic produces a sparkling beer that is made in accordance with time-honoured traditions. Oud Beersel Oude Geuze notable hop and fruit character is much appreciated by beer fans.

Aged Pale – Sour – Wood Aged
7.3% ABV – Petrus – Bavikhove, Vlaanderen
 

Petrus Aged Pale is a 100% uncut (not blended) sour beer from our oak foeders and aged for 24 months. Michael Jackson, the beer hunter, chose the name in the late 1990’s and he was the first to sell it in his beer clubs. Today, it is still a leading reference for SOUR beers worldwide. Petrus Aged Pale has won multiple gold medals in international beer competitions. Moreover, ever since the start of the brewery, Petrus Aged Pale is used as a blending beer to give other beers fresh and slightly sour flavours and aromas. Cheers!

Oatmeal Stout – Stout – Oatmeal
5.0% ABV – Samuel Smith – Tadcaster, North Yorkshire
 

Brewed with well water (the original well at the Old Brewery, sunk in 1758, is still in use, with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground); fermented in ‘stone Yorkshire squares’ to create an almost opaque, wonderfully silky and smooth textured ale with a complex medium dry palate and bittersweet finish.

Abt 12 Barrel Aged Sour – Sour – Barrel Aged
10.0% ABV – St.Bernardus – Watou, Vlaanderen
 

St.Bernardus Abt 12 is the flagship beer of Brewery St.Bernardus and is considered as one of the best beers in the world. The Abt 12 is brewed according to an original recipe from 1946. St.Bernardus Abt 12 Barrel Aged Sour is brewed with that same recipe. After the brew, we let the beer rest in Oak barrels for 3 years. This beer aging lets the beer go sour. In June 2019 we blended it with freshly brewed Abt 12 and bottled it in 75cl bottles. Balanced in flavours, perfect as can be, heavenly nectar within your reach. Enjoy!

Oude Gueuze Tilquin à l’Ancienne – Lambic – Gueuze

The Oude Gueuze Tilquin à l’ancienne is a blend of 1, 2 and 3 years old lambic refermented in bottle for at least 6 months. “Oude” in flemish or “à l’ancienne” in french is an appellation protected by the EU and is restricted for traditional belgian gueuze in bottle.

There exist independent Geuzestekkerij (blenders) who buy young lambic from various producers then age and blend the lambic in their own cellars and bottle under their own name. Lambickx is Vanderberg & Famille’s label for our hand-selected and blended lambics. Every lambic with the Lambickx name is blended from casks personally tasted and chosen by Don Feinberg, one of the first importers of Belgian beer to America and founder of the first Belgian-only brewery in the U.S. Don chooses his lambics for their complexity, brilliance, and drinking excellence both by themselves and as exquisite accompaniments to food. The beer you hold in your hand reflects the specific conditions present when it was brewed and during its years of aging in cask. Those conditions cannot be replicated and this beer can never be made again. It is truly a once in a lifetime experience and it is now all yours. Enjoy it

The allusion to pink elephants and the choice of names is not due to chance. With a particular character, the unique taste of results from the use of three different kinds of yeast. The result is a finish of peppery bitterness without aggression. The gray bottle hides a mystery awaiting discovery by the none faint of heart.

Daura was launched in 2006. Since then it has received numerous awards from prestigious international competitions, being recognized as the best gluten-free beer in the world.
We can define Daura as the taste of “the real beer”, as it is made with its main ingredient: barley malt.
The mouthfeel is smooth thanks to the fine bubbles. Daura is a fresh-tasting beer, with a lively acidity. The finish is bitter and long lasting.

This earthy, brightly acidic mead balances the lingering tartness of whole blackberries and carefully selected honey. Intensely fruity with balanced acidity, a complex flavor profile and an earthy aroma, this mead is reminiscent of picking fruit on a mid-summer day. A strong option for the cellar, blackberry will continue to mature and develop in the bottle for years. Blackberry pairs well with creamy cheeses, duck, and veal.
